When I first started out web designing & developing I did so with both eyes to the horizon. Each job was new and exciting. Web designing is right in my wheel house because my strength is starting new ventures. I excel at taking a products and services and marketing them online in a way that’s clean and easy to understand.
As time rolled on various clients needed support from time to time. I was more then happy to provide that support, most of the time at no charge. After 3 years of developing and literally hundreds of clients, support stop feeling like a nice thing I was doing for my clients. It started feeling like it was my job and still with no compensation. That’s why last month we changed the support model.
New sites now come with 30 days of free tech support & maintenance. Once the support & maintenance extension is over clients will have to pay for support. Maintenance contracts are also available. Maintenance is updating of WordPress, your framework, and plugins. Also included is twice a month back-ups. If something should happen we can do a restore to the previous back-up.
This might look like a money grab but I can assure you its a way for us to pay the bills and keep our lights on. 🙂
